  I am a minority myself, but that doesn't mean I can't recognize the truth.

  Up North, in the New England area, when a community of Hispanics moved in, you can go there a couple of years later and the place won't look the same; so horribly mistreated, dirty, broken, lots of gangs and kids hanging out doing nothing in the streets, lots of people living off public assistance and feeling entitled. Just outrageous!!!!!!!

  And, yes, Blacks and Hispanics alike have commited atrocities against the English language and too bad this type of lingo has been accepted by celebrities and others!!!!

  Many people bring about their own misfortune. So, yes, Bill Cosby is right this time and I hope he doesn't soften up and issue an apology.

  So many that put off having a family, even getting married for that matter, hoping this dream would've been here by now. One of the many reasons the R&F is slowing down their efforts.

  Good thing you and your hubby both feel the same way. My husband would've loved to have kids and he's so good with kids, more so than I ever will, but when we married I made it perfectly clear that was not a possibility. So he's never pushed the issue, although I do feel bad for him at times.

  Perhaps whenever I get tired of fighting this WTBTS and leave all behind, he might get chance to have kids with another wife. I tell him that sometimes and he gets furious!

  ... and i'm surprised, because of how devout i "thought" she was, and how "in the truth" her family is.. turns out, she's bipolar (surprise, surprise, another mental disorder found in a jw) this is the one that was my best friend when i was in the "truth" and now she's totally wild...

  Run don't walk,

  Whatever works is correct. Childfreedom has worked for me thus far.

  And, yes, this 'moral obligation' issue about having children doesn't apply in this overpopulated day and age.

  According to scientist, if the population continues to reproduce at the actual level, earth's resources will be greatly diminished in a few years. I mean, it's awful to read their report!

  I hear your point, and truly agree. I feel the same way about my nieces, nephews, and other close friends' children; defenitely enjoy them when they visit.

  My not having children wasn't WTBTS influenced either, although they strongly discourage having children today, you know, so that the R&F would have more time to serve their own agenda. I do know people who otherwise would've loved to have children and have postponed it thinking that the end would be here by now and they're such desillusioned people, even to the point of having emotional problems now that they're too old and their paradise dream hasn't come true. Sad for that crowd.

  I do my part in being very vocal with all couples that can and want to have their children to go ahead and have them, not to wait on some silly dream that hasn't and might not come true ever. Of course, another reason why I'm considered 'spiritually weak'.
